Vladimir - In My Head

Rising out of the annals of Dundee and describing their sound as simply 'bleak', Vladimir burst onto the scene late 2013 and have quickly won themselves a reputation as one of Scotland's most exciting and acclaimed new acts...

Emotionally heavy and sonically dense, the four-piece have become masters at crafting tightly-wound layered fuzz and raw Dengler-era Interpol-esque rhythms, that sees them stand out from the legions of raw guitar band imitators currently breaking through the indie-rock scene. Still at a tender age, Vladimir have effectively captured the complete disaffection and disregard that comes only with youth, while creating music that openly flirts with the darker nature that lies within us all.

The past year has seen the band hit the road as support to The Libertines, Slaves, The Twilight Sad, The Wytches, Pulled Apart By Horses, The View, Sleaford Mods, Peace and Catfish and The Bottlemen, as well as winning widespread support from the likes of NME, Clash Magazine, Q Magazine, The Line of Best Fit, The 405 and Artrocker.

“Addictive melodies that smack you in the face like a belligerent drunk at a funeral”
Q Magazine.

“A sepulchral atmosphere and a gravestone grey aura… Fiercely uncompromising”
Clash Magazine.

“Vladimir hit the middle ground between Drenge and Interpol”

“Talented way beyond their years”

SAHARA are a 4-piece indie rock band from Dundee, Scotland. Their self-titled debut EP was released in July 2016. More info on the band can be found at the Fred Perry Subculture interview page here

THE BAD KIND are a 4 piece rock band from Dundee that was established in early 2015, with a "do it yourself" philosophy. The band has developed a unique sound drawing influences from classic British rock all the way up to modern day alternative rock. Led by powerful lead vocals, a rock solid rhythm section and explosive guitars which all merge together to create the sound of The Bad Kind.

In a few short months, VFLAMBDA have created a live performance that energises audiences, thanks to their heavy, foreboding riffs, experimental techniques and irresistible stage presence. VFLambda are currently recording, and performing around Scotland. A band whose eyes twitch and whose butts shake. A band whose heart beats you.
